Help put food on the table at LHS this Thanksgiving season!
November 2 @ 8:00 am - November 25 @ 5:00 pm
As you all know, we have a lot of mouths to feed here at the Center for Pets. Food is a large expense for us, usually costing around $4,000 a month. With everyone’s favorite holiday to eat and be thankful coming up, we are asking the community to help us stock the shelves with a month’s worth of food for our pets! We’ve tallied up our averages and it takes about 1,320 pounds of dog chow, 400 pounds of cat chow, 448 pounds of kitten chow, and 1,680 cans of pate food for cats to feed LHS pets for a month. Our pets specifically eat the Purina chow to keep them on a regular diet and prevent upset tummies. Attached to this post are photos of what the bags look like. The only exception is the canned pate’ food can be any brand but our cats love Friskies! You can directly help our pets with food donations by dropping off Purina dog, cat, and kitten chow at the Center for Pets in our donation bins or visiting the special Food Drive Amazon wish list below. We will keep you updated regularly with the countdown of pounds and cans of food.
