Pet Help Associate – full-time – We are seeking an individual to join our Pet Help team. Must work well in a fast paced, team environment. Responsibilities include helping the community with their pets, providing excellent customer service to those needing our services, providing initial exams and giving vaccinations to pets entering our facility. Licensed Vet Tech – part-time – We are seeking a licensed vet tech or (currently enrolled vet tech student who has successfully passed their pharmacology courses) to work in our medical department. Duties include assisting our veterinarians with surgery, medicating pets, assisting our veterinarians with exams and procedures, caring for the sick and injured pets, working with all departments to communicate and ensure the pets are getting the proper care. Successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and learning our computer software. LVT/LVT Student – full-time or part-time Our Humane Alliance affiliated clinic serves 7 counties surrounding the Greater Lynchburg City area, accepting between 125-300 patients a week. Our distinguished, award winning 2 doctor led staff thrives in a fast paced environment that is dedicated to quality animal care for both shelter and owned animals. This is a team oriented environment where a positive attitude, flexible thinking and competent animal handling skills are a must. Our core values focus on a staff that is able to have fun while accomplishing goals in an effective, highly functioning clinic environment. Duties involved, but are not limited to, surgical assisting, vaccination and medication of surgical patients, patient check-in, drug log maintenance, staff training and vaccine clinic appointments. We are willing to train the right candidate. Students must have passed their Pharmacology course to be considered. Requirements – basic computer skills, ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, SIT and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to manipulate up to 40 pounds, must be willing to work 6 Saturdays out of the year.
