Pet Care Associate – We are seeking hardworking pet lovers to help care for the pets.  Candidate must be able to multitask and have great time management skills. Must be able to work with dogs and cats. Must be able to stand and move around for long periods of time, bend, and lift large bags of dog food. Adoption Counselor – Want to help people and pets Find Happiness?  That is what adoption Counselors do!  If you are a friendly, helpful, multitasker who loves people and pets with a go-getter attitude, then this position might be made for you!  Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and a love for working in a fast-paced environment are all a must for the right candidate. Behavior and Training Volunteer – Have a knack for training? Want to help pets who are scared come out of their shell? Love watching dogs play and would love even more to see our dogs getting play time? This is a specialized volunteer position that works with dogs and cats on various training and enrichment tasks. One large component will be assisting in running dog play groups. Other tasks include following behavior plans with pets, socializing with pets, walking dogs who need extra tools, implementing enrichment plans for dogs and cats, and learning how to train basic behaviors in pets. Weekend Receptionist Volunteer – This is a unique volunteer position where you would be able to work closely with the organization and get to know the ins and outs of our operation. We are looking for someone to run our front desk Sat-Sun from 10am-5pm. You would be greeting the public, managing emails, voicemails, and scheduling appointments. You will get to work will all departments and get to be apart of finding happiness for the pets at our center. Full Time Transport Driver/Kennel Assistant position available

Lynchburg Humane Society‚Äôs spay neuter clinic in Evington, Virginia is looking to hire a FULL TIME transport driver/kennel-vet assistant position  We are seeking someone that loves cats and dogs and is comfortable handling many breeds under stress and in new and challenging situations. You must also love to interact with pet owners in a positive and informative manner and be able to communicate medical information to the owners, collect money and be helpful with animal care questions.  You will need to have a clean driving record and be able to maneuver a large van in and out of tight spaces and garages while maintaining the safety of the animals. You must be prompt to work, organized, be able to handle money, become familiar with animal care instructions, be clean and smile. You are the traveling face of the clinic and you will be interacting with other rescue organizations along with other pet owners/adopters.  
This is a FULL TIME with benefits position that has a FOUR (4) DAY WORK WEEK.  We typically work Monday through Thursday. The transport driver will need to have the flexibility to occasionally work 6:15am to 6:00pm.  The typical schedule is 6:45-4:45. We may work 6 Fridays/Saturdays a YEAR.
