This beautiful girl is Stella, and she could really use a Springtime miracle. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Stella’s story, she is a 4 year old Pyrenees/Lab mix who was surrendered to us through no fault of her own. While every dog takes some time to adjust to the shelter environment, Stella is seriously struggling. She snuggles up with her staff buddies outside of her kennel and shows them such a big heart and loving spirit, but in the kennel, where she unfortunately spends most of her time, she is breaking our hearts. While we are doing everything we can to help Stella feel comfortable, she spends most of her day panting, pacing, and digging at her kennel door to get back to her staff friends. As if that wasn’t enough, Stella experienced a medical emergency on 12/20/24; her stomach flipped, requiring urgent, life saving surgery. Fortunately our team acted quickly and, with the help of our local vet partners, Stella’s surgery was a success. That being said, the shelter environment is no place for recovery, especially for a pup who is already so stressed. What Stella truly needs, now more than ever, is a home where she can decompress, heal, and cuddle. That’s where you come in.
