Tours at the Lynchburg Humane Society are a great way to educate kids on pets and the world we all live in!
We offer two different types of visits for groups:
Field Trips:
Schools and other groups ages 5 and up are welcome to visit, tour, and learn about the Lynchburg Humane Society. The Center for Pets can accommodate groups of 40 or less for Field Trip visits. There is a fee of $5 per guest* (*$50 minimum per tour). Please complete the form below to request a tour. Once your tour date is approved, you will pay the tour fee online before arrival.
Your One-hour tour includes:
- Our Humane Education Coordinator as your dedicated tour guide
- A fun pet-themed educational lesson
- A tour of the state of the art Center for Pets
- Time with adoptable pets
Youth Volunteering Field Trip
Schools and other groups ages 14 and up are welcome to visit, tour, and volunteer as a group at the Lynchburg Humane Society. The Center for Pets can accommodate groups of 20 or less for Field Trip visits. There is a fee of $8 per guest* (*$50 minimum per tour). Please complete the form below to request a tour. Once your tour date is approved, you will pay the tour fee online before arrival.
Your One and a half hour tour includes:
- Our Humane Education Coordinator as your dedicated tour guide
- A pet-themed educational lesson
- A tour of the state of the art Center for Pets
- Time with adoptable pets
- Personalized training from our Volunteer Coordinator
- Group volunteering at the Center for Pets with assistance from our Volunteer Coordinator
