The Center for Pets is ready to assist you in finding the best match with one of our adoptable pets! We welcome you to stop by anytime to visit and see the pets. Speak with an adoption counselor to learn more information on any of our pets, and spend time one on one with our pets to get to know them better. If you make the decision to adopt, we will guide you through the process that should only take about 20-25 minutes. Please make sure to bring a photo ID in order to complete the adoption process. Please note pets marked as "In Foster" and those that are marked "Being Rehomed by Owner" are not located at the Lynchburg Humane Society.

• Pets marked as "Being Rehomed by Owner" are part of our Rehoming Program -meaning they are still in their home so they can avoid coming to the shelter. Once you click the pet's picture, you will see the contact information for the owner that you will then email/call for more info on that pet.
• Pets marked as "In Foster" are currently staying with one of our wonderful LHS Foster Families. You can email [email protected] for more info on these pets and if we can also arrange a date/time for you to meet these foster pets.
