Want to volunteer at the Lynchburg Humane Society? To qualify you must be at least 16 years old, have a love for pets, and a desire to help. After filling out the appropriate applications below, you will complete a digital orientation and sign up for a First Day Tour Shift to meet the Volunteer Coordinator, receive your Volunteer Lanyard, take a tour of the building, and ask any questions you may have before beginning. (If you are unable to see a First Day Tour Shift, it is just because your application has not been reviewed yet!)

Volunteer Training Fee
As part of the volunteer application process, we require a one-time volunteer training fee of $10 to help offset the costs of administrative processing, training materials, applicable background check fees, your volunteer badge, volunteer program maintenance, and other costs that leave a footprint in our finances so more can go toward animal care.
All CSER Volunteers will pay a volunteer fee of $25 each Semester they enroll.
Court Ordered Volunteers pay a one-time volunteering training fee of $25.
We hope it is a small price to pay for wagging tails, sloppy kisses, purrs, and warm feelings every time you volunteer!
For your convenience you can pay your volunteer fee online.
Volunteers also receive 10% off all purchases in our retail store in addition to continued educational opportunities at the Lynchburg Humane Society
