Hamton is the perfect cat for you. He’s independent, but still loves to be in the same room with you while you work, watch tv, or doomscroll. Throwing a loud party? Hamton’s there…but in more of an emo kid in the corner kind of way. He loves to observe, but not be observed. Hamton is currently with his foster family who have said his daily routine consists of: breakfast when foster dad gets up for work, becoming possessed by The Horrors and running amok, second breakfast when foster mom gets up, followed by five minutes of mandatory snuggles and biscuit making. The rest of the day includes napping by an open window in the sun and drinking water from the bathtub faucet until foster dad comes home. This is the most important part of the day because now it’s time to look as adorable as possible and scream until dinner magically appears. Next, Hamton must wreak havoc in his pop up cat cube by digging (despite being declawed), attacking the feet of any unsuspecting passersby, and finally a nice little evening nap. Hamton must get “tucked in” every night (he must get three freeze dried shrimp and the option to be brushed). Hamton has been with his current foster family for five months and has finally begun to come out of his shell and show more of his spunky and loving personality. To feel safe, he requires patience and a sense of choice. If Hamton feels forced to do anything, he no longer feels safe. Consent is very important to him. Hamton is playful, loving, and spunky. He’s the perfect blend of lap cat and independent young gentleman. Hamton’s foster mom thinks he would do best in a home with older children and dogs who are indifferent to cats. He could easily be harness trained and would love a catio! But at the end of the day, all Hamton needs is someone who will love him, and be patient with him - he’s had a hard life.
