The first kittens of the season have been adopted!

This week, our first big litter of kittens rescued from the streets graduated from foster care, strong and healthy. In our city, and cities across the nation, there is a huge homeless cat population problem. Hundreds of cats and kittens suffer every year in the summer months. Spaying and neutering your pets, keeping up with their vaccines, and participating in TNR are the answers to this problem. But while this problem persists, the kittens who are sick, or injured, or left without moms come to LHS. We take on the role of caregiver until they are healthy enough, strong enough, and old enough to safely be adopted into their new homes.

We appreciate our amazing fosters who help us with the process so much, and we are just as grateful to our adopters who are ready at the wings to give loving new homes to these guys once they are ready.

Thank you so much to everyone who has adopted a kitten so far. If you didn’t get the chance this week, do not fret, there are so many more kittens where that comes from!! The summer is just beginning, but if you are interested in getting a kitten now, it is currently #EmptytheShelters, so adoption fees are just $70 until the 17th if you can get your hands on a kitten after they’ve graduated.
