Zackary found happiness, along with 75 of his friends!

When Zackary first came into our care, he was scared and unsure of who to trust. Despite this, Zackary never gave up. With some extra love from staff and plenty of peanut butter, Zackary showed us his amazing courage, perseverance, and most importantly, a strong desire to connect with someone. What started with a first walk out of the kennel quickly became an open door to an amazing personality! He is silly, bouncy, playful, and a truly loyal friend.

Over the weekend, a lovely family came in who had recently lost their boxer. One of our team members told them about Zackary and they decided to meet him, and it was love at first sight! They couldn’t get enough of his sweet, goofy self, so they decided to make him part of their family! We are so happy for Zackary and his new family and hope they have the best adventures together.

Have you ever seen a cuter smile?! Sweet Tina came to us as a lost pet and we all instantly fell in love with her adorable smile and peppy personality. We made a post on social media about Tina and her cute personality, and it didn’t take long for adopters to start reaching out to us. Sweet Tina found a home, a family, and happiness on Friday! We are so happy for her and her new family.

Wizard and 32 of his friends found happiness this week!

As you know, our brave, three-legged friend Wizard has been through a lot. But even after being hit by a car things quickly started looking up for him the moment he arrived at LHS. He was battered and bruised but we jumped into action and nursed him back to health.

He was available for adoption for a while with little interest. Then a few weeks ago a family was touched by his story and was moved to sponsor his adoption fee (Thank you Moody Family).

Finally, the day after Thanksgiving, his long journey led him to his new family. They were so smitten with his charm and loving personality they didn’t even realize he was missing a leg! And wouldn’t you know it, so was his new dad!

Stories like these are so special and it just goes to show, some things are meant to be.

Cherry Blossom and 40 of her friends found happiness this week!

Cherry Blossom came into our care back in March of this year. It didn’t take long for the staff here at the Center to fall in love with her sweet and sassy personality.

Always the first to greet you when you entered the room, wanting nothing but your time and attention. She loved showing off for everyone.

Juice and 52 of her friends found happiness this week!

They tell you how great fostering is, but you don’t really know until you do it. Juice was the first foster kitten that I brought home, and boy did we fall in love with her. We watched her grow, learn, play, and cause mischief with our four cats. She LOVED our cats, especially her best friend Malley. You could always catch the two of them getting into something together.

When it was finally time for Juice to graduate, I cried, big girl tears. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, but knew it was time for her to find her very own family. While she waited Juice got to come to events, like Pawcasso, where she made some friends. She would also get snuggles from everyone who came into her room (which I did every day.)

Sunday, I was packing up things from the Fall Fest, and headed down the hallway when I saw this couple and one of our staff members walking out of the room with Juice and my heart got so happy. Her day had finally come! They were adopting her and making her part of their family. I got to say goodbye to my first foster kitten (now on number four) and watch her leave with her new wonderful parents. I’m so happy for them and this new adventure together.

If you are ever considering fostering, do it! It’s worth every moment.
