Christmas in July was a success.. but we’re not done yet!

This week our kennels were full. We had nearly 100 dogs in our care with more and more kittens pouring in each day. Our weekend adoption event was a success with so many cat adoptions but we think we can do better. So we’ve extended our special through Thursday 7/17. ALL pets will have 50% off their adoption fees through Thursday. If you can not adopt, spread the word, stop by for a petcation, or email [email protected] to do a temporary foster! We hope to see you here and we hope to find as many dog homes as we have cat homes!

47 pets found happiness this week!

This week we had our 2nd kitten adoption event at Petco and we are so excited for the kittens and their new journeys. A total of 7 kittens found happiness and 40 more pets found happiness earlier in the week.

Kitten with the deformed legs finds a home!

Remember Grace, the kitten with the backward legs?

After little Grace was found with little strength, she immediately went to foster with one of our staff members who had been looking for a connection. It was instant love for her, and through all of Grace’s ups and downs she was there. While her legs will always trail behind her, it is thanks to her foster, and now mom that she will grow big and strong against all odds!

First Petco kitten event of the year with 13 out of 16 kittens finding homes!

Kitten Season is off with a bang!! Our numbers are growing daily and we’re doing everything we can to keep them out of the shelter and in homes fast. Fostering is a great place to start but once our kittens graduate it’s off to their homes from there. Last week, kitten adoptions were starting to slow, so we had our very first Petco kitten adoption special, and it was a huge success! We started off with 16 kittens and from 11am to 2pm all but three had been adopted.

We are so grateful to all of our adopters as well as Petco for letting us host this event. Happy adoption day kitties!
