Kano and 45 of his friends found happiness this week!

Sweet Kano came into our care back in December and quickly stole the hearts of many staff members. This photogenic boy always had sweet things being said about him after walks. Staff found out that he absolutely loves playing in water, fetch is the best game, and that he wants nothing more than to be a lap dog. He got to go on multiple petcations with staff and members of the public and did great on those as well!

On Friday we finally got to say congratulations and goodbye to Kano! He is now in a home with a loving new family who can’t wait to spoil him rotten. We are so excited for this sweet boy and his new family and can’t wait to hear about all of his future adventures.

Sammy and 58 of his friends found happiness this week!

Sweet Sammy originally came into our care in February of 2021 and was adopted by his family just a couple months later in April. Sammy was known to be super shy but with them he was a completely different dog. They were Sammy’s perfect fit. Unfortunately, as we all know life happens and due to some unforeseen circumstances, Sammy ended up back in our care at the end of 2022.

Due to Sammy’s shy nature, it was hard for us to find a home for him. He would open up for staff and show off his adorable personality, but when it came to the public, he would hide that personality.

On Friday we got a call from his adopter! She said that things were finally at a place to where they could bring Sammy back home. A little over a year later this sweet boy and his family were finally reunited, and we couldn’t be happier for them!

We are so happy for Sammy and all of his friends here at the Center who found happiness with new families to call their own! Thank you to everyone who adopted and thank you to Select Bank for making it possible for people and pets to Find Happiness!

Kylie and 45 of her friends found happiness this week!

Sweet Kylie came into our care last back in September of 2023. Though she really loved her LHS buddies, new faces sometimes made her nervous. She spent time in our cat towers, but then one day we decided to try her in one of cat rooms to see if it would help her open up more, and it worked! Through the confidence of her fellow feline companions, she got more trusting and comfortable with humans. We learned that she loves being pet on her head and under her chin the most.

Kylie was doing so well opening up, but still wasn’t getting much attention here at the Center so we decided to try her out over at our Petco location earlier this month. Kylie had some luck on her side, because she was adopted Sunday on St. Patrick’s Day! Her new family were so smitten with Kylie and couldn’t wait to take her home. To Kylie, her new family was worth the wait.

Ducky and 41 of his friends found happiness this week!

Ducky came into our care a little over a year ago and in the time that he’s been here with us we have learned so many fun things! We learned how much he loves his doggy friends as much as the human ones. Ducky loves frozen apples with peanut butter. He knows commands like sit, come, and drop it. His favorite toys are anything that squeaks or squawks, and he enjoys car rides and walks around the neighborhood. He got to go on a Petcation recently where he was described as “such a delight and full of love and happiness.” Ducky is really a perfect gentleman!

On Saturday, a family came in looking for a new member to add to their pack, and it didn’t take long for them to fall in love with Ducky. Ducky now has two human siblings, as well as the four-legged ones! We are so happy for Ducky and his new family.
